Why Nightjar?
The Nightjar is a species of nocturnal bird that inhabits almost every corner of the Earth, like many migratory creatures they make their home in different landscapes and climates throughout the year.
Each member of our team calls Kenya home, but we have all travelled extensively throughout the world. Nightjar African Adventures is a homecoming in many ways, it is a means for us to share what we have learned in our different fields of expertise, as educators, outdoor professionals, creatives, and conservationists - distilling a collective vision for travel centred around enriching experiences that go beyond the typical Safari holiday.

Chasing the Lion - Documentary
A teaser for Gabriel and Ramni’s upcoming feature-length documentary, with Peter as the protagonist. Four years in the making, the film highlights some of Kenya’s most stunning landscapes. It explores Peter’s deep connection to the Samburu tribe, a community the team has grown close to throughout the project. The Samburu, pastoralists living a traditional lifestyle centered on livestock and the rains, are known for their vibrant rites of passage, colorful beads, and shukas. The documentary captures both their rich culture and the powerful bonds formed over years of collaboration.
